Kyle is an Orange County native with a passion for fitness and outdoor activities. He is a Marine Corps veteran with multiple deployments in 2010 and 2012. As co-owner of Orange Coast CrossFit in Costa Mesa and founder of Lean Bodies gym in Newport Beach, Kyle has trained more than 1,000 people of all ages and abilities, including seniors and school-age children.
His current clients range from beginners to out-of-shape weekend warriors to MMA champions. Kyle is keenly aware of each client’s individual needs and abilities, and he has the expertise to tailor workouts to address any specific concerns or problems.
Kyle is a tremendous teacher and motivator, but he is clearly tough enough to kick your butt to ensure that you achieve your goals. He is well-known for creative workouts that keep clients from getting bored and that maximize the time and money they invest.
When not working with clients one-on-one, or developing new workout challenges, Kyle is the fitness trainer for several local high school and community college athletic teams. He is also a frequent speaker on fitness related-topics and a featured contributor on Quora.
My training philosophy is pretty simple. I believe that how you perform in the gym is how you conduct your life outside the gym. I’m convinced that my training will not only make you physically stronger, but mentally stronger as well – and it has ramifications throughout your entire life.
I love being able to show people that they are capable of much more than they realize. The only things holding most of us back are laziness, lack of body awareness, and fears and doubts. My greatest satisfaction as a trainer comes from showing clients how to overcome these issues.
As a Marine, I experienced plenty of tough, frustrating moments, physically and mentally. But I learned how to channel those tough times into a fuel. I used those challenges to compete with myself and to prove that I was stronger and better than any momentary weakness that entered my mind.
